Check out some of these simple recipes to create the ultimate shake:

Banana-Pecan Protein Shake:

  • 1 frozen ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup plain oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/4 cup pecansAccording to Dr. Joanne Mumola Williams, PhD nutritionist and author of Health Begins in the Kitchen, “Fiber can make you feel full longer, stabilize your blood sugar, and naturally curb your appetite. Dietary fiber also protects against colorectal cancer and reduces the risk of coronary heart disease.”

  • 4 ice cubes
The additional ingredients in the Banana-Pecan Protein Shake are suggested by Personal Trainer, Alex McBrairty.

Green Tea Smoothie

  • 1 scoop of WellPath vanilla powder
  • 1/2 cup of strong green teaDr. Joanne Mumola Williams further explained that green tea contains many antioxidant vitamins and is rich in catechin polyphenols. “Many health benefits have been attributed to the frequent consumption of green tea, including the inhibition of cancer cells, stabilization of blood sugar, improving cholesterol, preventing cardiovascular disease, fighting colds and flu (as it has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties), and more. It also acts as a relaxant due to its content of the amino acid, theanin. The polyphenols in green tea may prevent age related memory loss.”
