Broccoli Smoothies That Will Seriously Change Up Your Grab-n-Go Breakfast Game

Having a hard time getting out of bed or need that extra bit of motivation to exercise today? A superfood smoothie might be all you need to do the trick, and what better superfood to add into your blender than broccoli.

Now, you’re obviously thinking, “Um, a broccoli smoothie? No.” Fair. But as bizarre as it sounds, adding some broccoli to your morning blend is the perfect thing to get your day started. Not only is broccoli packed with protein and vitamins A, C, K, and B6, but it’s also a great source of potassium and manganese, which are energy-boosting and digestion-regulation nutrients. Broccoli is also incredibly low in cholesterol and saturated fat, so loading up on the superfood is sure to leave you feeling satiated and invigorated. Unfortunately, broccoli can have a bitter taste, but when combined with your favorite fruits and other smoothie staples, you’ll hardly even know it’s there. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite go-to broccoli blends, all of which are sure to get your morning started off right. For each of these recipes, just combine the ingredients and blend until smooth. And for the smoothest blend possible, be sure to chop you broccoli florets as finely as possible before blending.

It’s all in the title: bananas, berries and peanut butter. How can you go wrong? Ingredients:

1 banana
1/2 c. strawberries
1/2 c. raw broccoli florets
1/2 c. nonfat Greek yogurt
