It stunts your growth. It dehydrates you. It makes you jittery.  Coffee has been associated with numerous negative stereotypes practically since it became popular hundreds of years ago.  What some people do not realize, is that coffee is actually very good for you, in many unexpected ways. Here are a few reasons why you should not feel guilty about your morning cup (or three) of Joe.

1. It Can Improve Mental Awareness

There are reasons we associate the need for coffee with times before a big exam, meeting at work, or other major events. In moderation, caffeine acts as a mild stimulant to the central nervous system. It may even improve memory performance in some cases, according to multiple studies. Coffee can help you bring your A game.

2. It Is A Great Energy Boost Before A Workout

Black coffee with no sugar is a great, low-calorie way to enhance your workout. Drink a cup before you hit the gym or go on your morning run, you’ll have a little extra energy. If you are struggling to find motivation to hit the gym, this may be a good solution for you.

3. Coffee Is A Natural Fat-Burning Aid

When looking at fat burning supplements, you may notice something: many contain coffee. Coffee is a natural fat burning aid. What a beautiful world we live in. Of course, this does not apply to your coffee with extra cream and two pumps of caramel, but your regular coffee can be a great way to start your morning right. Unfortunately, drinking coffee alone is not a magic solution to losing weight (although we wish it was), but it is definitely a boost and every little bit helps.

4. Coffee Is An AMAZING Source Of Antioxidants

It is actually the leading source of antioxidants in the average U.S. diet. Drinking coffee can help protect against diseases and is downright good for your insides. You can’t argue much against that.

5. It Can Just Make You Happier

Studies have revealed that 2-3 cups of coffee daily can actually help you think more positively. If you wake up feeling a little bummed, coffee may be the boost to bring the spring back to your step. Of course, like most things in life, this does not apply to everyone. The caffeine will not help you if you have insomnia, and it may trigger anxiety if you are prone.

Regardless of whether or not you’re a coffee drinker, we all need an extra nutrient boost when it comes to staying healthy.  “Healthy” doesn’t just mean fit, and supplements can help support mental and physical health.  Optimize your health with WellPath nutritional solutions to make sure your body is getting all of the nutrients necessary for it to function properly.
